Lori was an enormous support as we navigated through finding the appropriate seniors residence for my 90 year old mother. She made herself immediately available and sprung into action when my mother had a health crisis, and we had to move her out of her home. She clearly knows what’s available in the GTA, and is able to match the senior’s needs to the best facility. She has well developed contacts with the appropriate people at the homes, and they clearly respect her. She also has a network of service providers from private PSW agencies to movers and even a handyman. This means that she can provide full service offerings from identifying the best place, to handling the move. She never tired of answering my many questions, and she was always at the other end of the phone.  It’s an emotional transition for both the senior and the family. I found her to be an excellent source of advice on how to manage those emotions. I found Discerning Seniors mentioned on a website I was looking at for home care. This was after the worst part of the lockdown for Covid. My now, late husband had been having behaviour problems due to diagnosed dementia. He also had mobility difficulties. I was really having a very hard time with all of these issues.
